The Ideas2Biz opportunity is a “shop window” of ready-to-start business ideas, with only one thing missing – someone to run them. As business developer at Ideas2Biz, your role will be to fulfil the missing ingredient by recruiting like-minded individuals who are passionate about business and are not afraid to try something new. These people will run the businesses on a franchise model. Just some of the people who would suit the businesses are those who are:

• Recently redundant
• Unemployed
• Employed but not happy in their current role
• School and college leavers
• Recent graduates
• Retired but want to do something
• Coming out of the armed forces
• Want to run a business but don’t know what to do

Who We’re Looking For

Ideas2Biz are looking for a business developer, to grow Ideas2Biz into a franchise business. We’re looking for someone who can manage:

• Day to day running of the business
• Promoting and marketing the business
• Identifying possible licensees and then vetting and carrying out due diligence to establish their ability and suitability
• Being involved in setting up each business model
• Producing and updating operations manuals etc. for the smooth running of each business
• Working with web designer’s, SEO and social media people to set up and move forward the various business ideas
• Working with accountants and solicitors and other professionals to maintain the smooth efficient running of all businesses
• Develop relationships with potential partners
• Find, employ and maintain staff and or preferably freelance workers to pick up workload when things start to expand keeping operating costs to a minimum of course
• Become a subject matter expert in all that is ideas2biz and work with myself to come up with new ideas and strategies etc.
• Bringing in and training others to be subject matter experts

One of the main tasks will be to find and identify people like yourself who can run the businesses on a franchise model. This position could be based anywhere in the UK and could be immense. This is a very exciting opportunity for the right person who of course will be the initial test pilot. 

Potential Skills Needed

• You must fully identify with the ideals and ambitions I hold, to be able to work with me and my ideas
• Enthusiasm in spades
• Good communicator at all levels
• Good general business skills
• Franchising experience/knowledge or the ability to become a subject matter expert
• Some B2B sales experience would be an advantage
• Good verbal and written communication skills including facilitation of group presentations
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
• Innovation and problem-solving skills
• The ability to self-sustain financially until such time as the business is generating sufficient revenue (which could and should be fairly quickly)
