Sheffield mum Julie Brookes is leaving behind a successful 25 year career working as a PA to build her own domestic cleaning and homecare business, Bright & Beautiful Sheffield Hallam, which will be looking after local homes and families.
Julie, who lives in Stannington in Sheffield with her partner and two teenage sons, recently launched her new business, managing a team of cleaners to deliver ethical, professional and eco-friendly housekeeping services that include cleaning, tidying and laundry.
The launch of Bright & Beautiful is a major life change for Julie, 48, who will be leaving a long career spent working as a senior PA, within the newspaper industry for 17 years and then seven years supporting a businessman to run his seven companies.
With the launch of Bright and Beautiful, her own prestige domestic care business, Julie will be offering a pioneering service, delivering professional housekeeping services and creating a number of jobs for local women and men. The Bright & Beautiful team will also be using only non-toxic and eco-friendly cleaning products and equipment and will offer their services in the Hallam, Crosspool, Ranmoor, Fullwood, Lodgemoor, Nether Green/HangingWater, Whirlowdale, Dore, Totley and Bradway areas.
Julie says: “I can’t quite decide if my 25 years organising various businesses as a PA or my years as a mum to two teenage boys best qualifies me to launch a cleaning business! I’ve enjoyed a great career but now I want to do something that will really put me at the helm and I’m really looking forward to delivering a great service for all our clients and managing and growing the business.
“I also love new challenges so the opportunity to be my own boss and bring a new, eco friendly and ethical cleaning service to my local community is hugely exciting. We are here to help give the families of Sheffield their hugely important leisure time back by taking on all of those cleaning, tidying and ironing jobs that eat into their free time and weekends.”
Bright & Beautiful is an award-winning business model that was founded by entrepreneur Rachel Ray in 2007. A busy working mum herself, Rachel spotted a gap in the market for a domestic cleaning company that provided full fair employment rights for its team, non-toxic cleaning products and an exceptional housekeeping service for its clients. Since then the business has grown from strength to strength with franchisees around the UK employing carefully vetted professional housekeepers and servicing thousands of clients.
